I think at times I'm flighty....I get something on my brain and its like a train out of control............I started this whirlwind crafty life with paper scissors a hole punch and a scrapbook.
I have changed courses many times. In the middle of it all I bought a Singer SES 2000....my other blog has a post about it.. it took a very long time for me to get totally into it as a matter of fact its been about 6 years.
I finally figured out that the embroidery unit had been dropped of somehow damaged. I searched online and found a replacement and have had the most fun playing with it.
I have bought another singer sewing machine to have set up just for sewing and gained an antique Kenmore zigzag machine from craigslist for those hard to sew items with hefty seams.
I've researched different ways to edit embroidery designs, watched a lot of youtube videos...
I've bought tons of designs from applique to fonts. Learned different techniques
such as hooded towels and fleece hats, onesies etc...
I've found people with so much knowledge on the subject and have helped some with the knowledge I have.
So with everything, I have decided to give this crafting for cash thing a try....
I did my first "sale" setting. We had a community yard sale back in July in which I sold a few hooded towels......
In the coming posts I will be making things for everyone in the family and showing the techniques used listing the sources for information as well as supplies. I'll be pointing you in the directions of my favorite crafting/sewing websites.
I'm hoping this will get me a bit more serious about my sewing. I have 5 grand daughters now, and they need cute stuff to wear so with all that said lets get this show on the road.....
